Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 83 Chevy Silverado 6.2L Diesel pick-up and I'm confused on which  
transmission it has, in order to get a replacement for said said part. I don't
have the original owners manual and I can't seem to find the answer on
google. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? I'd greatly
appreciate any kind of assistance.

There is a marking stamped in the casing. But an easy way is to call a dealer service department and give them the VIN number.
