2005 cts battery drains for no apparent reason

You probably have a parasitic battery drain. Look it up on the web or Youtube.

First you find what is draining the battery and then you fix it. Your description of the problem is vague but perhaps the problem is a bad ignition switch.

We have no idea what can completely collapse a battery in a mater of minutes..i had a brand new alternator placed and still it's drained go figure...

A major drain would be required to kill a battery in minutes which would probably be easy to find. If you are not good with electrical stuff have a pro take a look.

An independent shop will save you a lot of money but if you are loaded take it to the dealer.

Yes but shouldn't the dealers have seen this Parasitic Drain before definitely not loaded!

It is your choice. Good luck. Dealers will charge you something like $120 a hour or more.
