This sporty crossover SUV comes in only one trim, but it's loaded with luxury features. Powered by a 315-hp, 4.5-liter DOHC V8 and 5-speed shiftable automatic, the AWD crossover offers heated leather seats, power front seats and power windows, locks, and mirrors, driver's memory settings, cruise control, a 6-CD changer, and aluminum, wood, and leather trim. Functional features include intermittent front and rear wipers, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, automatic climate control, and heated mirrors.
Five-star safety ratings are due to standard 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, dual front, front-side, and side curtain airbags, 20-inch wheels, and traction and stability control. Also standard are foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and xenon headlamps. Safety options include a tire monitor, automatic headlights, adapative cruise control, which maintains a reasonable distance between you and the car ahead, and Lane Departure Alert, which prevents drifting. A rearview camera is also available to help deal with noticeable blind spots.
A roof rack is standard, and the cargo area holds up to 65 cubic feet. An optional trailer hitch can tow 3,500 pounds. Other options include satellite radio, a DVD player, navigation system, sunroof, remote start, a garage-door opener, and wheel-mounted audio controls. Owners like the power, style, long list of standard equipment, and responsive steering action, but are disappointed by the lack of cargo space, rough ride, 15/19 city/highway mpg, and rear visibility.
