Cadillac Escalade vs Acura ADX

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade maintains the momentum of one of the most recognizable SUV nameplates. The current-generation Escalade was introduced as a 2021 model, but for 2025 it gets a refresh that includes styling changes and a redesigned dashboard display. This gasoline Escalade competes against full-size luxury SUVs like the BMW X7, Infiniti QX80, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus LX, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.

Verdict: If you’re willing to spend extra on a well-optioned example, the Escalade is a credible luxury vehicle. But its platform’s shortcomings can’t be erased.

The luxury compact crossover class is a popular one. It hits the sweet spot for many consumers: the elevated ride height and interior volume of the body style, the prestige badge, and the premium comfort. Smaller vehicles also tend to come with smaller price tags, adding to the attractiveness of this segment. And now, thanks to Acura, competitors may have to look at bringing those prices down even more.

Verdict: The ADX delivers on its promise–an experience that is scaled down in size but not standards. Some will find it underpowered, but most will be thrilled to get this mix of comfort, convenience, and styling at a significant cost savings.
