2024 Genesis GV80 Reviews SummaryGenesis introduced the GV80 in 2021, and the crossover SUV is getting a minor refresh in 2025. Still, the 2024 GV80 remains a good choice unless you want to wait for the fancier styling, more high-tech interior, or new supercharged GV80 Coupe coming next year. Otherwise, today’s GV80 is pretty much the same as tomorrow’s GV80, and in some respects, it is the more elegant and traditional choice. Verdict: Based on our evaluation of the 2024 Genesis GV80, seat comfort is not what it should be. Also, to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you need a USB cable. This Genesis is thirsty, too. But otherwise, we have few complaints about this stylish, safe, and mostly rewarding midsize luxury SUV.
2025 Buick Enclave Reviews SummaryThe Enclave kicks off its third generation, benefitting from Buick’s slick new design language and a host of feature updates. The three-row SUV gets a full redesign, a new powertrain, and tons of tech and safety features that are standard across all three trim levels. Verdict: Like any vehicle, the new Enclave has its strengths and weaknesses. We think Buick was strategic in its approach to these, focusing its efforts on the areas Enclave shoppers most likely prioritize.

The 2024 Genesis GV80 offered a choice between the 2.5T turbocharged four-cylinder and the 3.5T twin-turbocharged V6 models, with trim levels ranging from Standard to Prestige Signature. Prices varied from $57,700 to $81,750, plus a $1,350 destination charge. The test vehicle, a 3.5T in Prestige Signature trim, featured an optional Matterhorn White Matte paint, bringing the MSRP to $84,600. The Prestige Signature trim included exclusive exterior colors and a stylish 22-inch wheel design, though the black paint obscured the wheel details. Inside, the Ultramarine Blue over Dune interior exuded luxury with diamond-stitched Nappa leather, a suede headliner, and a wide touchscreen display. Despite its luxury, the recommendation leaned towards the regular Prestige trim for better value.
The 2025 Buick Enclave resembled a scaled-up version of the Envista, with a bold front design featuring slim DRLs and a large grille. The side profile was more generic, but the overall look was sharper than its predecessor. The Enclave had fewer side creases, a flatter roof, and slightly sharpened wheel arches. Standard 20-inch wheels adorned the base and Sport Touring trims, while the Avenir trim boasted 22-inch wheels. Inside, the Enclave felt modern with a floating center console and a large curved display. The Sport Touring test car featured perforated leatherette seats with contrast piping, enhancing the premium feel. However, the limited sunroof availability was a drawback, especially for the base trim.

The 2024 Genesis GV80 2.5T featured a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, outperforming some rivals' V6 engines. The 3.5T model, tested with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, delivered 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Despite its power, it was thirsty, achieving 17.2 mpg compared to the EPA's 20 mpg estimate. Both engines paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, offering five driving modes. The GV80 3.5T included upgraded brakes and adaptive damping suspension, providing a rewarding driving experience with swift acceleration and commendable grip on mountain roads.
The 2025 Buick Enclave housed a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It featured an eight-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel or all-wheel drive options, the latter reducing fuel economy from 23 to 21 mpg. The Enclave could tow up to 5,000 pounds. Active Noise Cancellation targeted road noise, but engine noise cancellation was standard only on the top trim. The Enclave drove like a full-size vehicle, with loose steering at slower speeds, but this was not a major concern for its class.
In 2024, the Genesis GV80 3.5T Advanced was the only model with a third-row seat, while the Prestige Signature seated four with second-row captain’s chairs. The test vehicle featured a panoramic roof, triple-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats with massage programs. However, the seats were uncomfortable on long trips, and second-row legroom was limited. Cargo space measured 34.9 cubic feet behind the second row, expanding to 84 cubic feet with seats folded.
The 2025 Buick Enclave offered eight-way power adjustability for the driver’s seat and six-way for the front passenger. It seated seven with second-row captain’s chairs. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel were standard, with additional features on the Avenir trim. Tri-zone climate control allowed middle-row passengers to manage their temperature. The Enclave provided 22.9 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in place, expanding to 97.5 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.
The 2024 Genesis GV80 featured a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, with a control dial on the center console. It included navigation, SiriusXM, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A Wi-Fi hotspot was new for 2024, and wireless charging was standard. The Prestige Signature added second-row charging. The GV80 had a digital key system and a Lexicon premium sound system, with a head-up display on higher trims.
The 2025 Buick Enclave boasted a 30-inch ultrawide touchscreen integrating the infotainment display and digital gauge cluster. A 12-speaker Bose audio system was standard, with a 16-speaker system on the Avenir trim. Wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto were standard, along with Google Built-In and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. The Enclave offered wired charging with USB ports in each row.
The 2024 Genesis GV80 came with advanced driving-assistance systems, including a Blind-Spot View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. The GV80 received a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA, though frontal-impact tests earned four stars.
The 2025 Buick Enclave included blind-zone steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist. HD Surround Vision and adaptive cruise control were standard, with Super Cruise available on all trims. The 2024 Enclave scored well in most IIHS tests but received an "Acceptable" rating for the updated side crash-test and a four-star overall rating from the NHTSA.
