2022 Audi A4 Reviews Summary

We’d forgotten just how terrific the Audi A4 can be. The compact luxury sports sedan is over half a decade old now. After a week-long stint in a 2022 Audi A4 Prestige 45 TFSI, we’re reminded of the A4’s fundamental appeal. From its rock-solid structure to its modern technology, nothing about the 2022 A4 telegraphs the car’s age. The A4 remains an excellent choice in a luxury sports sedan.

2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Reviews Summary

Following a substantial refresh for the 2021 model year, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup sees few changes. The most significant of them is the cancelation of AMG E63 and E63 S variants. Reportedly due to supply chain problems, V8 engines are being dropped from much of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz lineup. That leaves the E-Class with turbocharged four-cylinder and six-cylinder power plants.

Additionally, automatic high-beam headlights are standard on all 2022 E-Class models, and a couple of paint colors are new. With the coupe and convertible body styles, rear USB charging ports are now standard equipment.

2022 Audi A4

9/10

2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

9/10

The 2022 Audi A4 presented a simple, clean, and conservative design, which served as an ideal backdrop for its striking Tango Red paint and Black Optic package detailing. The classic five-arm rotor-design wheels added a touch of automotive design perfection. Inside, the A4 maintained a similar aesthetic restraint, with a predominantly black interior accented by aluminum trim and metallic highlights. The dashboard seamlessly integrated air vents, and controls were clearly labeled, contributing to a high-quality feel. However, the tablet-style touchscreen infotainment system seemed like an afterthought in an otherwise cohesive design.

In contrast, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, particularly the AMG E53 Cabriolet, exuded a modern design purity. The AMG styling, larger wheels, convertible top, and matte-blue paint finish created a visually stunning vehicle. Inside, the E53 Cabriolet offered a luxurious experience with high-resolution digital displays, Burmester speaker grilles, and soft leather. The car's interior was a testament to luxury, with features like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a neck-warming system, ensuring comfort in various weather conditions.
