2019 Cadillac XT4 Reviews Summary

Cadillac was named after the founder of Detroit. It's the second oldest vehicle manufacturer in the United States and responsible for some of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history. But all of those icons were sedans, and this isn’t a sedan world anymore. Today, people love crossovers. More importantly, people buy crossovers. So, naturally, Cadillac sells crossovers, and the XT4 is the company's latest and smallest one. Built on the same platform as the Malibu sedan and the Buick Regal Sportwagon, the 2019 XT4 addresses a major complaint against a lot of Cadillac's offerings—that they’re just rebadged GM products. Instead, the XT4 is a brand new vehicle that hopes to shed Cadillac's reputation for badge engineering and parts-bin design.

2020 Volvo XC90 Reviews Summary

The XC90 has been one of our favorite family shuttles for 18 model years. This 3-row Volvo continues for 2020 as it was during its 2016 redesign, which brought dramatic new design language, chassis architecture, electrified powertrains, infotainment, and semi-automated driving capability. Among midsize SUVs, the XC90 is among the few I would recommend without any hesitation. Families who can afford to splurge will find a stylish and pampering truck that's built upon decades of safety research, which very few automakers can match.

2020 Volvo XC90

10/10

CarGurus experts rate the 2019 Cadillac XT4 as 8 out of 10 and the 2020 Volvo XC90 as 10 out of 10. The 2019 Cadillac XT4 starts with a new 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine that delivers 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic for a spirited ride. The base Luxury trim level offers expected luxury features like LED headlights, keyless entry, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Moving up to the Premium Luxury trim adds more features, while the top-tier Sport trim includes additional luxury and performance features, but the optional packages can significantly increase the price. On the other hand, the 2020 Volvo XC90 exudes beauty with its modern design, featuring standard "Thor's hammer" LED headlights, a spacious and luxurious interior, and options for unique trim and seating materials. The Excellence trim, no longer available for 2020, featured four separate seats and was a luxury exercise by Volvo's parent company, Geely. The Inscription models offer matte wood trim and wool fabric seats, while the R-Design provides leather with aluminum or carbon-fiber trim.
