My car radio stopped working. I changed all the fufuses, purchased a new radio, replaced the wires and changes the ignition switch. What could be the issue??

The G6 makes up for so-so cabin quality by offering performance-oriented trims and a unique power hardtop convertible.
The average family sedan is efficient, reliable, and perfectly inoffensive. If you seek a bit more excitement in your daily commute, the Pontiac G6 is capable of delivering it, provided you select the top-tier GTP trim. The G6 is offered as a five-passenger sedan, but now for 2006, a stylish coupe and a new convertible are available, the latter showcasing an innovative retractable hardtop to combines open-air driving with year-round protection from the elements.
The G6 was introduced for the 2005 model year and is based on the same platform as its GM corporate cousin, the Chevrolet Malibu. Despite its unique variants, sharp styling, and available performance trims, the G6 is generally a middle-of-the-road sedan and is likely to underwhelm the lifelong Accord and Camry owner. But if you have grown tired of the same old options, the G6 is a fun alternative.

When the G6 arrived in 2005, it did so as a replacement for the Pontiac Grand Am, itself a midsize car with bold styling. The G6 ratchets that up by taking Pontiac styling cues to the extreme. The aggressive headlights are stretched out to the front corners of the car, framing up the brand’s signature twin-intake grille.
The cabin design channels Pontiac’s sports-car persona with a focused layout, a three-spoke sport steering wheel, and a performance-minded instrument cluster. Some trims of the G6 have a clunky four-spoke steering wheel design that detracts from the overall look of the dash.
Though it looks smart enough, the cabin of the G6 lacks a general fit-and-finish that you’ll find in the Camry and Accord. There is heavy use of hard plastics, and those materials that are soft-touch don’t feel up to par.

There are three trims of the G6, each defined by their drivetrains. The Base G6 is powered by a 167-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, while the G6 GT receives a 201-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6. The top trim is the GTP, and it is equipped with a 240-horsepower 3.9-liter V6. All engines route power to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission, while the GTP was also available with a 6-speed manual (coupe and sedan only, not convertible).
The 4-cylinder engine is utterly underwhelming, and the 3.5-liter V6 doesn’t do much to impress either. The only engine here worth its salt is the 3.9-liter V6 in the GTP, which provides plenty of low-end power, but will also get up to highway speeds with ease.
No matter which engine you select, the G6 provides rewarding handling characteristics. It’s no sports car, but it is pretty respectable, and it somewhat lives up to Pontiac’s performance heritage. This is further enhanced in the GTP, which receives a stiffer sport suspension

The G6 sedan has seating for five, while the coupe and convertible lose the rear middle seat in favor of a fixed center console with integrated cup holders. The rear seats of the 2-door variants are acceptable, especially for a coupe and convertible, where the expectation is limited usability. If you need true adult-friendly rear seating, look to the sedan, which has plenty of backseat legroom.
The sedan also offers the most trunk space, providing 14 cubic feet. The coupe isn’t far behind, with 13.5 cubic feet. Meanwhile, the trick mechanical bits of the power-folding hardtop takes up quite a bit of cabin space, leaving only 2.2 cubic feet of usable trunk space in the convertible when the top is down. Raising the top will expand that space to a still-paltry 5.8 cubic feet.

Despite how much real estate it takes up in the trunk when stowed, the convertible's power retractable hardtop is truly something special. It folds like some sort of Transformer, and it stows neatly beneath the rear deck, though it does leave something of a hunchback to the styling.
If you don’t need all those moving parts but still want a bit of fresh air, the sedan is available with a large panoramic sunroof. It should be noted that the components that allow this sunroof to slide aft cuts into rear-seat headroom.
Other tech options include a premium stereo with SiriusXM satellite radio (subscription required), OnStar connectivity services, and a Monsoon premium stereo.

The G6 comes standard with traction control and seatbelt pre-tensioners, as well as front-impact airbags for the driver and front passenger, and a front passenger seat occupancy sensor. Side-curtain airbags and side-head airbags are optional.
It should be noted there are varying levels of traction control, starting with the minimal system in the base trim. The GT features a more robust traction control system, while the GTP features GM’s signature StabiliTrack that has been co-developed with Delphi.

The base 4-cylinder engine is the most efficient version of the G6, returning fuel economy of 21 mpg city, 31 highway, 24 combined. The 3.5-liter V6 is almost as good, returning 20 mpg city, 29 highway, 23 combined. The larger 3.9-liter V6 returns 16 mpg city, 24 highway, 19 combined.
Base MSRP for the 2006 Pontiac G6 is $16,365 and goes up to $23,065 for the GTP sedan. The G6 Coupe starts at $21,165, while the G6 Convertible starts at $27,685. The most expensive version of the G6 is the GTP Convertible, starting at $29,365.

This is a great car and very reliable, seats are comfortable and supportive. This car has plenty of power and has no problems merging onto the high way. The cargo space is great for a coupe and the handling is wonderful. This car is a much better deal than a camaro or mustang and does much better in the winter. Nov 28, 2014

The Pontiac G6 has been a good car over all. I do most of the mechanical work myself saving thousands from dealer cost. The Pontiac has a governor. I was only able to get it up to 105 before it started to slow it down.Oct 18, 2014

I like the sports handling and the power that it had. I did not like the complaining I got from rear seat passengers that were taller than 5 feet tall. I did not like replacing the rotors.

This car is the best car I have ever owned so far. It is even spacious enough for 3 kids, 2 adults, and camping equipment, including a cooler. It was tight but honestly I was impressed. Our family trips and outings have sadly out grown this car. We are moving on to a SUV, but honestly if I could afford 2 car payments I would never let this car go. Mar 11, 2012

Fun to drive and great on long road trips. Ave. 32+ mpg on hwy trips. Trunk will only hold 4 med. suitcases with top up. After all it is a hardtop convertible and it makes up for those days when the weather won't cooperate for a dry commute on the motorcycle. Jan 07, 2012

The performance is great for the V6 with plenty of power and control on the road. Sportly little care with good gas mileage. The appearance is sleek and with the 17" alloy wheels the car is a streamlined machine. This is the car my fiance chose when it was time to get her a new car. I'm proud of her, she did a pretty good job. There's so many good things about this car. We haven't had any mechanical problems with it yet. The all leather interior was immaculate. It comes factory with keyless entry, remote start, slap-shift, 17" chrome rims, and a sunroof so big it might as well be a convertible. The stereo system isn't bad either. Sounds great, comes with an in dash 6 disc CD changer. This is a very quick car for a V6. it comes with the bigger 3.5 V6, with loads of acceleration, great handling, and quick response. i took this car to the track and it ran a 16.5 stock. not bad at all for a bone stock V6. there's just not enough good things to say about this car. we are the second owners, only paid $11,200 with 39,000 miles and everything on the car was like we were the first owners.Sep 22, 2010

Great car... until the warranty is out! At 37,000 miles my airbags, breaks, and transmission all began to go out. I drove it like an old lady, never slammed on the breaks or pushed the acceleration too hard, and still it started breaking down! This is a heavy car, about 3500lbs, but the 240hp 3.9L V6 is more than enough to pull it around quickly. The 4wheels disk breaks stop it very well, and GM's FE2 suspension sticks it to the road , but at the same time is smooth over bumps.
The 4 speed auto is "dated" but the tap shift lets you redline and won't shift which is nice. The optional 6spd has short throws and a fairly heavy clutch, but it's easy enough, and a lot more fun. 6spd is the way go go, just get the GT if you want an automatic.
This car is a leap in the right direction for GM, and is more than up to the task to compete with Accord/Altima/Eclipse Oct 16, 2009

I really liked owning this car. It looked good, drove well (was a great highway car, terrific acceleration, and awesome in the snow), got great gas mileage (I averaged 32 on most interstate drives, 25 around town), had a very usable trunk (which is a necessity in my line of work), and never once had a single mechanical issue in the 80,000 miles I put on it. Plus, the electric blue paint job looked really good with tinted windows and black interior. I didn't like the 4-speed manumatic transmission, though. It needs a fifth gear and a more responsive slap-shift. Also, the cornering was very "front-wheel-drive-GM." That being said, I would have no misgivings about recommending this car to one of my friends.Nov 09, 2008

Performance is great! it accelerates pretty fast, and the brakes are good as well is the handling. This car is built really well. I have had no problems with it, except for a rattle in one of my bass speakers. I love the appearance of this car both inside and out. I just got this car in July, and wanted to get the GTP Sedan. It comes with a bigger V6 engine, the 3.9L, 18 in wheels, dual exhaust, heated leather seats and leather wrapped steering wheel and the audio controls on the steering wheel. I have not really found one thing I don't like other then it doesn't get the greatest MPG...i struggle to get 25mpg. Other then that I love it!Aug 19, 2008

This Car is great.
Performance- Acceleration is really good, brakes feel solid, A little bit of torque steer when starting from a stop but thats what you get with a front wheel drive.
This car is a Blast to drive.

Its not a sports car, and its not a top of the line car either, but for the money, its one of the best cars out there in its class. The back seat has lots of room, there are many options, it has great engine power for the size, many desirable features, large trunk space, and an overall solid appearance.
Downsides are the large blind spots in it, and the traction control I have found to be rather lacking in Northern Michigan weather.Mar 28, 2008

A Gorgeous car, the looks are definitely a reason to but this car but it has some disadvantages. While it has agile acceleration and good MPG it lacks firm handling especially at low speeds. The interior is comfortable and spaceous excepting rear headroom. The turning circle is a little large and the length of this vehicle makes it sometimes tricky to handle. My Pontiac G6 won't start
After driving my 2006 g6 gtp for a long while after killing it it won't start back up until you let it set for a while. When you turn the key nothing happens except all the lights and gauges come on like normal. Seems like no signal going to the starter. Already replaced the starter and all the relays but same problem. First thing in the morning you can start and kill it and start it up until u drive for a long period. Then you just have to wait for a while until something cools down. Please help
