The 2010 Pontiac G6 remains essentially unchanged after a significant re-working for 2009. Offered in front-wheel drive only, the 2010 G6 is available as a coupe, hardtop convertible, or family sedan. Next, Pontiac offers a 3.6-liter VVT V6 engine and six-speed automatic, good for 252 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque, in both the 2010 G6 sedan and coupe, turning each into a GXP trim. EPA estimates for the GXP trims are 17/26. Finally, Pontiac also offers a 3.9-liter V6 engine, putting out 222 hp and 238 lb-ft of torque, with the G6 Convertible GT. A standard four-speed auto-manual transmission manages the 3.9-liter V6. Standard appearance, comfort, and convenience features for the 2010 Pontiac G6 Value Leader sedan include 17-inch steel wheels, cloth front bucket seats, power windows, door locks, and mirrors, air conditioning, a single-CD player with six speakers, Sirius/XM satellite radio, and Onstar hands-free communications technology. The base G6 sedan and coupe trims, though equipped identically with the Value Leader, add such options as engine upgrades, 18-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, leather, chrome accents, cruise control, remote start, a power-tilt sunroof, and a premium audio system. The 2010 Pontiac GXP sedan and coupe trims offer such additional standard amenities as a 200-watt, eight-speaker Monsoon audio system, cruise control, chrome-tipped exhausts, and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, as well as leather upholstery and appointments. The 2010 Pontiac G6 Convertible GT is delivered with standard features that include 18-inch alloy wheels, a two-way adjustable power driver’s seat, and the popular power up/down hardtop convertible roof with a glass rear window. For 2010, the Pontiac G6 offers such standard safety features as four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, a remote anti-theft alarm, and front fog/driving lights.
