Used 2025 Toyota Tundra for Sale near Somerset, NJ

How much does the 2025 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 6.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,263 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Toyota Tundra earns a 4/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out as a tech-forward full-size pickup with a stylish, attention-getting design, a spacious back seat, and plenty of everyday utility. The available hybrid powertrain and upper-trim tech features add appeal if you want a truck that feels modern rather than purely work-focused.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and uncomfortable seats are the main drawbacks, and the truck also gives up some towing capability versus certain rivals. If you want a full-size pickup with strong tech and broad usefulness, it fits that brief well.

33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are decent opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Toyota Tundra’s reliability story is helped by Toyota’s emphasis on safety and by the fact that its powertrain is described as being on an upward trend after earlier issues. The truck’s standard safety suite and broad feature set also point to a well-developed design rather than a bare-bones first effort.

Its twin-turbo V6 setup is described as having the right amount of get-up-and-go for merging and passing, and the predictive reliability for the truck and its powertrain is said to be improving. The cost side is also helped by the fact that some connected features include a free trial period.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you’re buying a well-kept example with no unresolved history from the earlier engine issue.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Tundra?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a truck with higher mileage or more equipment. Focus on seat comfort, tire condition, and whether the tech features work smoothly, since those are the kinds of details that matter most in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SR5 test truck shows how much more upscale the truck can feel once you move beyond the base setup, with a 14-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and TRD Rally Package styling. The base truck is more stripped down, so you should pay close attention to feature gaps if you want a more polished cabin.
• Powertrain: The standard twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 delivers strong everyday punch, and the available hybrid setup adds more output. The truck is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and the 10-speed automatic is standard.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automated lane centering, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available starting with the SR5 trim.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims can get a 14-inch screen, and the system also offers connected features and voice-assistant capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The best fuel economy you can get is an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Tundra is offered in 2 trim levels: SR and SR5.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Tundra lineup and can live with fewer comfort and tech upgrades.
• SR5: This is the better-value choice for most shoppers because it adds more of the features that make the truck feel modern and easier to live with, including more available safety and tech equipment.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert start with the SR5 trim.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds new tech features and a retro TRD Rally Package, while the engine issue from earlier models has been addressed.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,127, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,366 average.
• It emphasizes capability and personality, with a strong drivetrain and TRD Pro appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the newer truck with more tech and a stronger current-market case, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path.
