CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Sienna
overall

Summary
With 1,445 currently listed for sale and an average price of $48,449.00, 30.3% of 2025 Toyota Siennas for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.
93.8% of 2025 Sienna models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sienna stands out in the minivan class by pairing a standard hybrid powertrain with practical everyday usability. It is also described as getting on in years, but it still brings a mix of strengths that make it a worthy contender, including great ride quality, a quiet cabin, and easy-to-use technology.
Its appeal is especially clear in the way it balances efficiency and versatility. The Sienna is said to promise 35 to 36 mpg in combined driving, and it offers an available all-wheel-drive system for extra traction. A Woodland Edition trim adds half an inch of extra ground clearance for light off-roading capability, giving it a bit more ruggedness than many shoppers expect from a minivan. Just as important, you never need to remove the second-row seats to use its cargo area, which makes day-to-day hauling simpler even though its maximum cargo capacity falls short of rivals.
There are still tradeoffs to consider. The transmission is described as irritating, and real-world fuel economy is noted as poor despite the strong combined mpg promise. Even so, the 2025 Toyota Sienna remains distinctive for buyers who want a comfortable, quiet minivan that emphasizes fuel savings, available AWD, and practical packaging.

Great handling car with an amazing amount of flexible storage. The XSE trim provides extra features for our sporting needs including the hidden tow and Hybrid makes this fuel efficient. No range anxiety when there is >800km on a full tank.

We looked at some platinum and XLE models. While platinum has built-in fridge and built in vacuum but it's also more pricey. While XLE doesn't have ottoman and second row entertainment unit. This model fits perfectly for my family's needs

Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.
The Sienna fits your needs well if you want a family-focused minivan with a smooth, quiet ride, a spacious interior, and practical usability. Its standard hybrid setup and available all-wheel drive make it especially appealing if you value efficiency and traction in everyday driving.
The main trade-offs are an irritating transmission, poor real-world fuel economy, and less outright load space than rivals. Even so, the Sienna’s easy-to-use technology and comfort-oriented setup make it a strong choice if you prioritize convenience over driving excitement.
With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a competitive price.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Sienna’s reliability case is helped by its smooth hybrid powertrain, quiet highway manners, and straightforward family-friendly design. It also benefits from complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, which can reduce early ownership costs.
The powertrain is described as quiet in city and highway use, and the vehicle’s technology is presented as capable and easy to use when connected services are active. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the hybrid system, electronics, and maintenance history have been cared for properly.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
Even with a strong share of accident-free listings, you should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection. Focus on overall condition, especially how the cabin, tech features, and hybrid system have held up in real use. If you plan to carry passengers often, make sure the seating, climate controls, and driver-assistance features all work as expected.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum. Entry-level models have smaller displays, and the LE has three-zone climate control instead of four-zone climate control.
- Powertrain: The Sienna uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid with a CVT, with 245 net horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included.
- Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the system supports over-the-air connected services through subscription plans.
- Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating for the FWD test model was 36 mpg in combined driving, while the evaluation loop returned 26.3 mpg.
Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LE is the most stripped-down choice, with smaller displays and three-zone climate control instead of the richer setup found higher up the range.
- Sweet-spot trim: The XLE is the best value pick if you want a more complete family setup without jumping to the pricier luxury-oriented trims.
- Premium/top trim: The Platinum adds the most upscale feel, including the 12.3-inch displays, a 10-inch head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a more premium cabin presentation.
- Off-road trim: The Woodland Edition is the one to consider if you want the extra ground clearance and available AWD for light off-road use.
All Siennas include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so you do not need to move up the range for those safety features.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,442 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 93.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $46,248.42, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $48,449 sits slightly below last year's $50,973.
That softer pricing can help you buy more favorably now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well the vehicle holds its condition and mileage. A model with strong efficiency, family appeal, and broad market demand can still remain attractive to later buyers.
Because the Sienna combines a hybrid powertrain with practical family packaging, it should continue to appeal to shoppers who want efficiency and utility in one vehicle. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the Sienna a five-star overall rating, but it earned four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
The Sienna uses Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 rather than the newer 3.0 version, and that suite includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard across the lineup.
The main caution is that the frontal crash result is weaker than the overall NHTSA score suggests, so you should pay close attention to how the vehicle has been maintained and whether all safety systems are functioning properly.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds rear-seat reminder technology and keeps the hybrid efficiency, AWD availability, and family-friendly packaging.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $45,238, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,449 average.
- It delivers impressive fuel efficiency and strong practicality.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the latest updates and are comfortable paying more, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play because it still delivers the Sienna’s core strengths at a lower average price.
