What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Solterra?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific car’s records match its condition. Put inspection priority on battery-related operation, charging behavior, tire wear, and overall cosmetic and mechanical condition. Since most listings are accident-free, your best results will come from focusing on the individual vehicle rather than assuming every example is equally clean.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Solterra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2024 if:

• It brought meaningful updates that improved charging, comfort, and standard safety features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new look, NACS fast charging, and more available horsepower.

The bottom line: The 2025 makes sense if you want a current-year Solterra and can find one priced well in a clean condition. If you’re shopping primarily for value, the 2024 is worth a look for its earlier updates, while the 2026 is the better path if you want the newest improvements and can stretch your budget.
