Is the 2025 Subaru Impreza a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Impreza stands out as a practical all-weather compact car with a strong emphasis on standard all-wheel drive. It is presented as a good blend of serious performance and day-to-day practicality, which makes it appealing if you want something entertaining without giving up everyday usefulness.

The source material also frames it as a car with a clear personality: capable and engaging, but not especially plush or carefree. For you, that means the Impreza makes the most sense if you value traction, character, and usable performance more than luxury or refinement.

36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Subaru Impreza reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Impreza is described as a practical all-weather compact car with standard all-wheel drive and a strong emphasis on usable performance. The source also presents it as a good blend of serious performance and day-to-day practicality, which supports its appeal as an everyday driver.

At the same time, the material points to tradeoffs that matter for ownership: a rough ride in daily driving, cheap interior materials, and many examples that may have been heavily used, abused, or modified. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how carefully a specific car was maintained and driven.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Impreza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report and pay close attention to signs of prior damage, modifications, or hard use. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you want to avoid examples that have been driven aggressively or repaired poorly. Focus on overall condition, maintenance evidence, and whether the car feels consistent with its mileage and asking price.

For you, the best resale protection will come from choosing a strong example now and keeping it in excellent condition.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.23% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,612, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,865 average.
• It offers more capability without breaking the bank.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2025 if you want the current-year market and a solid mix of value and availability. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it comes in cheaper while still delivering the core Impreza appeal.
