Used 2024 Toyota Tacoma for Sale near Florida

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tacoma cost?

Prices have softened 2.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,364 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Tacoma earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2024 Tacoma is a ground-up redesign that moves the truck onto a more modern platform while keeping its familiar appeal intact. It stands out for its excellent reputation for reliability, great off-road capability, and standard advanced driver-assistance tech.

The trade-offs are real: the cabin is noisy, manual-adjust seats can be troublesome, and the interior still skews functional even in the top trim. If you want a midsize truck with strong capability and a modernized foundation, it fits that brief well.

36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Tacoma is described as having an excellent reputation for reliability, and Toyota’s own positioning emphasizes longevity. It also brings a more modern platform and updated hardware, which should help it feel more current than the previous generation.

Its turbocharged four-cylinder setup is paired with an eight-speed automatic that the review team found smooth and well-timed, and the new steering system is said to address the vagueness of the outgoing model. Toyota also highlights the truck’s reputation for longevity in its cost-effectiveness discussion.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Tacoma’s core durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tacoma?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only one part of the picture. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a truck that may have seen towing, off-road use, or heavy daily wear. Focus on cabin condition, seat operation, and how the truck drives at low speeds and on rough pavement.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR trim uses 17-inch steel wheels, while most trims move to 17-inch alloy wheels and TRD Sport and Limited get 18-inch alloys. The cabin is more functional than plush, and even the Limited trim leans hard into utility rather than luxury.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is tuned for 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque on most trims, while the base SR is rated at 228 hp and 243 lb-ft. Rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are both available, and the eight-speed automatic is the main transmission; a six-speed manual is also offered.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes Lane Tracing Assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Road-sign assist and an emergency stop system are also included, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base trim, where it can be added as part of a package.
• Infotainment: The Tacoma gets an 8-inch standard touchscreen, with a 14-inch center display on higher trims. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Toyota’s Audio Multimedia system is described as responsive and legible.
• Fuel efficiency: The least-efficient version is expected to get 20 mpg combined, with up to 21 mpg combined for 4WD automatic models and up to 23 mpg combined with FWD.

Which 2024 Toyota Tacoma trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Pre-Runner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the Tacoma’s new platform and standard safety tech at the lowest price. It’s also the one most likely to feel stripped down, so it makes sense mainly if you’re focused on value and plan to add equipment selectively.
• SR5: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits early in the lineup while adding more everyday usability than the base trim. If you want a balanced Tacoma without chasing specialty hardware, this is the trim to start with.
• TRD Pre-Runner: This trim is for buyers who want a more specialized truck character without moving all the way into the off-road-focused models. It keeps the Tacoma’s rugged identity while staying more road-oriented than the dedicated trail trims.
• TRD Sport: This trim adds sport-tuned shocks and 18-inch alloy wheels, giving it a more polished on-road feel than the lower trims. It’s a good fit if you want a Tacoma that feels a bit more dressed up without going full luxury.
• TRD Off-Road: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest off-pavement focus in the gas lineup. It gets monotube Bilstein shocks and is the clearest choice for buyers who care most about trail capability.
• Limited: This is the most comfort-oriented gas trim, with heated and ventilated SofTex-trimmed seats and an available adaptive variable suspension. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Tacoma experience, though the cabin still leans functional.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base trim, where it can be added as part of a package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tacoma?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain across every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,870, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $37,955 sits slightly below last year's $38,761.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests the Tacoma remains a strong-value truck in the used market. If you plan to sell later, the model’s broad appeal and reputation for reliability should help support demand.

Because the Tacoma is still a desirable midsize truck with strong capability, it should remain relatively easy to move when you’re ready to sell. The current price trend is a reminder that market timing matters, but the truck’s core reputation still works in its favor.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma safe?

The 2024 Tacoma comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes Lane Tracing Assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and Proactive Driving Assist.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota also adds road-sign assist and an emergency stop system for 2024, and adaptive cruise control now offers four following-distance settings. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all but the base trim, where it can be added as part of a package.

The main caveat is that official crash-test ratings were not yet available in the source material, so you should still check for the latest results before buying.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings a ground-up redesign, a new platform, and standard advanced driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,595, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,955 average.
• It’s the previous-generation Tacoma with a more familiar, rugged feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newer platform, stronger tech, and updated safety equipment, the 2024 is the better long-term pick. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable with the older generation’s feel, the 2023 can still make sense.
