Generally — the 2024 Toyota Crown earns a 4/5 user rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a comfortable, well-equipped daily driver that feels more special than a typical mainstream sedan. It brings the Crown name back to the U.S. as a premium-leaning sedan with crossover-like ride height and visibility, and every version comes standard with all-wheel drive. Is the 2024 Toyota Crown reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Crown’s standard hybrid setup and all-wheel drive should appeal if you want a car that feels secure and efficient in everyday driving. Its quiet, upscale mission and generous equipment list also suggest a model built to serve as a comfortable long-term commuter.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Crown’s limited cargo space and premium positioning may make it less forgiving if your needs change.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Crown?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or inconsistent maintenance. Because the Crown is positioned as a more upscale daily driver, pay close attention to interior condition, electronics, and how well the cabin equipment works. A careful test drive should confirm that the car feels quiet, smooth, and free of warning lights or unusual noises.

What is the 2024 Toyota Crown's resale value?

The current average of $35,551 sits slightly above last year's $35,221.

That small increase suggests the Crown has held its value fairly well in the used market. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than sharp depreciation. The model’s premium-leaning positioning and standard all-wheel drive can also help it stand out when you eventually list it.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Crown or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,372, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $35,551 average.
• It offers a distinctive elevated ride with strong efficiency and bold styling.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the current-year market, stable pricing, and a well-equipped premium-feeling sedan. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path because it delivers much of the same core appeal for less.
