Is the 2024 Lexus ES reliable?

The 2024 Lexus ES stands out as a quiet, comfort-first luxury sedan with a long-standing reputation for refinement. Its combination of comfort, equipment, and safety makes it a compelling choice if you value serenity and everyday ease more than sportiness.

For used buyers, that kind of reputation usually points to lower long-term ownership stress than a more performance-focused luxury sedan, especially if the car has been maintained well and kept in clean condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus ES?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s maintenance record before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you want to verify the condition of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior wear. Focus on overall condition and consistency between the listing, the paperwork, and the car itself.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus ES?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,179 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,696, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus ES's resale value?

The current average of $42,068 sits slightly above last year's $41,899.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed steady, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A stable price trend can help support resale confidence because it points to consistent demand rather than sharp depreciation pressure. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain clean records, you should be in a better position when it’s time to trade or sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus ES or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

The bottom line:

The 2024 is the right path if you want the latest version of this comfort-first luxury sedan and you value a stable market with plenty of clean inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point while keeping much of the same relaxed, premium character.
