Used 2024 Kia Niro for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2024 Kia Niro cost?

Prices have softened 2.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 605 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Niro a good car?

The 2024 Kia Niro stands out as a subcompact hybrid crossover that prioritizes efficiency without giving up everyday usefulness. It is Kia’s most fuel-efficient gas-powered vehicle, and it can deliver up to 53 mpg combined. Even with its small footprint, it offers a lot of space, and its cargo area is generous for the class.

That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical hybrid with useful technology and a roomy interior in a compact package. The tradeoff is that it is very slow in acceleration and its cabin is noisier than the PHEV or EV versions.

33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia Niro reliable?

The 2024 Kia Niro is presented as a practical hybrid with standard safety equipment and a well-rounded equipment mix. It includes rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, blind spot monitoring, forward emergency braking, and smart cruise control on all models.

That combination points to a vehicle designed to be straightforward to live with if you value efficiency and everyday usability. For long-term ownership, you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since used hybrid ownership risk is shaped heavily by how the car was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Niro?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus especially on overall condition, since a clean record does not replace a careful in-person inspection and test drive.

If you find a listing below $24,116, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Niro's resale value?

The current average of $24,786 sits slightly below last year's $25,377.

That tells you the market has softened, which can work against you if you buy at the wrong price and try to resell soon. If you plan to keep the Niro for a while, the current pricing may be more attractive than it was a year ago. If you are thinking about short ownership, you should be especially disciplined about paying near the lower end of the range.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Niro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.33% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,127, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $24,786 average.
• The 2023 brings a fresh redesign with strong efficiency and standard safety features.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the current-year market with decent deal availability and a solid accident-free share. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition.
