The 2024 Odyssey’s reliability case is supported by its strong safety reputation and its focus on proven, family-oriented hardware rather than novelty. What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a minivan that may have seen heavy family use. Focus on interior condition, sliding-seat operation, and the function of convenience features, since those are central to the Odyssey’s appeal. A clean history report is important, but you should also confirm that the vehicle’s wear matches its mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market if you are shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,185 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,973, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $34,973 sits slightly below last year's $38,110.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy if you decide to sell later. A softer market today can also mean less upside for immediate resale, so condition and mileage matter even more when you buy. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, its family-friendly reputation should help it remain appealing to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,059, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,973 average.
• It adds updated tech and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 should be your first stop; if you want the newest updates and are willing to pay a bit more, the 2025 is the alternative to compare.
