What’s New for the 2024 Honda Odyssey
The Odyssey was last refreshed for the 2021 model year. In 2023, the base LX trim was removed from the lineup, and the mid-level Sport trim was added to the lineup. The model carries over into 2024 largely unchanged.
Design
The Odyssey boasts a handsome, confident design and features standard power-sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle. Trims for the 2024 Odyssey are EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. The EX comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and LED fog lights. The Sport trim features 19-inch alloy wheels and unique styling touches.
Powertrain
There is one engine across the Odyssey lineup, which is a 3.5-liter V6. It makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2024 Honda Odyssey are 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.
Interior
The 2024 Odyssey EX comes equipped with push-button start, three-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, and heated front seats. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power moonroof, and second-row USB ports. The Touring adds third-row USB ports and a wall-style power outlet, and the range-topping Elite trim adds heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a heated steering wheel.
The Odyssey provides up to 158 cubic feet of cargo space. That breaks down to 92.3 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 38.6 cubic feet behind the third row. The EX comes with a manual lift gate, and the EX-L adds a power lift gate. A hands-free power lift gate is available on EX-L, Sport, and Touring trims, and it is standard on the Elite trim.
Technology
The standard infotainment system in the 2024 Odyssey is an easy-to-use 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the Touring trim includes a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen, a rear-seat entertainment system, CabinWatch rear-seat monitoring system, and CabinTalk in-cabin intercom so you’re not yelling back to the third row. The Elite trim adds wireless device charging, special ambient cabin lighting, and an 11-speaker premium audio system.
Safety
The Odyssey provides peace of mind thanks to the standard Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance technologies. This collection of features includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also comes with adaptive cruise control that can stop and go with the flow of traffic. The Touring trim adds standard front and rear parking sensors, and the Elite trim adds rain-sensing windshield wipers.
Pricing
At the time of this writing, the 2024 Honda Odyssey has a base MSRP of $37,840 for the EX trim. The EX-L starts at $40,910, and the Sport starts at $41,860. The Touring trim starts at $45,100 and the range-topping Elite starts at $49,970. The Honda Accord is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
