Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 Odyssey is built around comfort, practicality, and easygoing driving manners, with seating for seven or eight and everyday convenience features that make it especially useful for family duty. It also brings a strong safety reputation and a broad feature set, including available CabinTalk, CabinWatch, sliding second-row seats, and other family-friendly equipment. Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey’s overview emphasizes a strong safety reputation, a practical layout, and a long record as a comfortable family hauler. That combination suggests a vehicle designed to handle daily use well, especially if you prioritize convenience and consistency over flash. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the van has been maintained carefully, since a well-used family vehicle can hide wear if you skip a thorough check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status and look for any signs of prior damage or repeated repairs. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the condition of the interior, sliding-seat operation, and the convenience features that make this minivan appealing. Because the Odyssey is often used as a family hauler, pay close attention to wear, cleanliness, and how well the cabin equipment works.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,203 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,116, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $35,116 sits slightly below last year's $38,142.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the van has been maintained. Because demand is tied to practicality and family usefulness, clean examples with strong equipment and history should remain easier to move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,234, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $35,116 average.
• It adds updated tech and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want a well-equipped Odyssey at a slightly lower price, especially since the market already shows meaningful deal availability. If you care most about the newest updates and can pay a bit more, the 2025 is the cleaner upgrade path.
