Why it stands out
The 2023 Toyota 4Runner continues to be a favorite among SUV enthusiasts thanks to its traditional and rugged design, coupled with impressive off-road capabilities. Unlike many of its competitors that prioritize fuel efficiency and modern tech, the 4Runner maintains a body-on-frame architecture that is ideal for off-road adventures, offering a robust appearance and confidence-inspiring performance. Improvements in this model year include standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert across all trim levels, enhancing safety features significantly. The availability of the 40th Anniversary Special Edition also adds a unique touch to the lineup with retro design elements. While it excels in off-road performance with features like Multi-Terrain Select and a high ground clearance, the 4Runner's handling on paved roads may leave something to be desired, with some drivers noting its weight and steering response as limitations. However, its longevity, reliability, and retained value over the years make it an appealing choice for buyers looking for a dependable SUV.

The ORP pkg had all the options I wanted and had low miles as well. Comfort, convenience and even the color I preferred. The engine has a history of reliability and it should hold its value over time.
