How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,201 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 911 stands out as a highly polished sports car that blends driving enjoyment with everyday comfort, and its cabin materials reinforce the upscale feel. It also offers unusual range for a sports car, with variants that span from more elemental driving to more specialized performance focus.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space and a value proposition that is harder to justify than some rivals. Even so, the 911’s broad appeal and strong performance make it a compelling choice if you want a sports car that still works as a livable daily driver.

There are 30.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 911’s long-running evolution and refined engineering point to a model that has been developed carefully over time. Its performance focus is balanced by everyday drivability, which helps it feel less demanding than many sports cars.

The expert review also notes that the 911 remains comfortable and easy to live with, even as it prioritizes performance. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium sports-car upkeep can be costly if the car has been driven hard or poorly maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify service records before you buy. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a sports car like this, where prior use can matter as much as mileage. Focus on wear items, signs of track use, and whether the car’s condition matches its asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera is the most approachable version, while the Carrera T adds a manual transmission, lighter components, and a more engaging setup. Higher trims add more power and specialization, but the base car already includes the core 911 experience.
• Powertrain: The lineup starts with a rear-wheel-drive 379-horsepower flat-six, while Carrera 4 models add AWD. Higher trims increase output substantially, and the GT3 and GT3 RS are tuned more for racetrack performance than everyday comfort.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available with the optional Premium package.
• Infotainment: The 10.9-inch touchscreen includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless CarPlay support. Android Auto still requires a USB cable, and the interface can be distracting because of the lower screen placement and small on-screen buttons.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and convertible variants.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value starting point because it delivers the core 911 experience with 379 horsepower and enough performance for most drivers.
• Carrera T: This is the enthusiast pick if you want the least expensive manual-transmission 911 and a more engaging, lighter-feeling setup.
• Carrera S: This is the step-up choice if you want more power and many of the Carrera T’s upgrades without going all the way to the more specialized models.
• Carrera GTS: This is the stronger all-around performance option if you want a noticeable jump in output and a more serious driving character.
• Sport Classic: This is for you if you want retro style and a more exclusive feel, along with substantially more power.
• Turbo: This suits buyers who want very high output and strong straight-line performance, even if it is not the sportiest choice in the lineup.
• Turbo S: This is the top-end road-going choice if you want the most powerful turbocharged version.
• GT3: This is the track-focused pick if you care more about high-performance driving than comfort.
• GT3 RS: This is the most extreme track-oriented choice, with even more focus on racetrack capability.
• Dakar: This is the outlier if you want the lifted, off-road-inspired variant with all-terrain features.
• Convertible variants: These are for buyers who want open-air driving and are willing to trade some practicality for it.
• Carrera 4: This is the AWD choice if you want added traction in a 911 without moving up to a more specialized trim.

The base Carrera is the best-value trim for most shoppers, while the Carrera T is the most compelling choice if you want a manual and a more playful setup. Safety features are not as comprehensive as they are in many mainstream vehicles, so the optional Premium package matters if you want more driver assistance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $212,380, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $220,375 sits slightly below last year's $220,702.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate future value because the model is not swinging sharply in either direction.

The 911’s strong desirability and broad appeal should help support demand over time. Well-kept examples are likely to remain attractive to shoppers who want a premium sports car with lasting name recognition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available as part of the optional Premium package.

The main safety caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup. That means you should pay close attention to equipment on any used example you consider, especially if you want more driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 lineup expands with new variants like the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $217,291, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $220,375 average.
• It blends approachable performance with everyday drivability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the broader lineup and a stable market with strong inventory quality. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path because it delivers the same core 911 appeal for less.
