Used 2023 Lincoln Navigator for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2023 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 15.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,276 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2023 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lincoln Navigator earns a 5/5 user rating and an 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out as Lincoln’s flagship full-size luxury SUV, and it leans into the traditional truck-style formula that gives it significant towing and hauling capability. Inside, it’s especially appealing if you want a large luxury SUV that can carry people comfortably, with a spacious third row and impressive technology.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: fuel economy remains a weak point, the ride quality is poor in Normal mode, and the hands-free driving tech is basic. For buyers who value space, capability, and tech over efficiency and ride polish, it fits the brief well.

31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Navigator’s appeal comes from its roomy, comfortable cabin, strong towing capability, and upscale technology. Its twin-turbo V6 delivers substantial power, and the truck-style platform supports the kind of capability many full-size luxury SUV buyers want.

The performance setup is straightforward and robust, with a 10-speed automatic and standard 4WD in the test vehicle. The ownership downside is that this is a large, expensive SUV to fuel, maintain, and repair, so long-term costs can be meaningful for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the specific vehicle you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The test vehicle was a Reserve model, one step up from Standard and one step down from Black Label. It added upscale cabin touches, but the base version is less richly equipped.
• Powertrain: The Navigator uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and 4WD. It’s the only engine available.
• Safety package: Standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 and available Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 Drive packages bundle advanced driver-assistance systems, including Evasive Steering Assist, Intersection Assist, and BlueCruise. BlueCruise lacks lane-change assist, and you’ll still need to take over regularly.
• Infotainment: The Navigator has a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and available widescreen head-up display. It also offers Lincoln Play rear-seat screens and a 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D Audio System.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned 18 mpg in combined driving, and the model can’t hit 20 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, but the Navigator’s core strengths are already here: the twin-turbo V6, 4WD, adaptive damping suspension, and the roomy, comfortable cabin. It makes sense if you want the Navigator experience without paying for extra luxury features.
• Reserve: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and the kind of equipment that makes the Navigator feel properly premium. It’s also the trim used in the test vehicle, which suggests it captures much of the model’s appeal without going all the way to the top.
• Black Label: Choose this if you want the most luxurious version and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the range and is the trim for buyers who want the fullest expression of the Navigator’s upscale character.

The standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 and available Co-Pilot360 2.0 Drive packages add important safety tech, so check whether the specific vehicle you’re considering has them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lincoln Navigator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,276 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $54,921 sits slightly below last year's $64,618.

That price movement suggests the Navigator has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you shop carefully now, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to the prior-year average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2023 Lincoln Navigator earns five-star ratings in side-impact protection and four-star ratings in rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 is standard, and the available Co-Pilot360 2.0 Drive package adds more advanced driver-assistance systems. The test vehicle also had Evasive Steering Assist, Intersection Assist, and BlueCruise, Lincoln’s hands-free driving assist system.

BlueCruise is useful on mapped highways, but it struggles with curves, mixed pavement, and construction zones, and it lacks lane-change assist. That means you’ll still need to stay engaged and take over when conditions get complicated.

Should I buy a 2023 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong towing and hauling capability with a spacious third row and impressive technology.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,557, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $54,921 average.
• It brings design, comfort, and technology updates that refreshed the SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and feature content, the 2023 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Navigator’s core strengths.

2023 Lincoln Navigator:

Our experts score the 2023 Lincoln Navigator 7.7/10 and the 2023 Cadillac Escalade 7.3/10. The Navigator has the edge if you care most about power and third-row space, while the Escalade leans harder into audio and cargo room.
