How much does the 2023 Lexus IS cost?

There are 1,149 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus IS earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sporty design, smooth performance, luxurious interior, and good value for money. For you, that means it fits best if you want a compact luxury sports sedan that feels more athletic than purely practical, especially if you care more about driving enjoyment than rear-seat space. With 39.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2023 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers also describe it as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free in the ways that matter for everyday ownership. That kind of feedback suggests you can feel reasonably confident about long-term use, especially if you choose a well-maintained example with a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus IS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on overall condition and signs of prior damage or poor maintenance. Because the back seat is tight and cargo space is limited, make sure the car’s layout still fits your daily needs before you commit. If possible, test the infotainment, audio, and driver-assistance features so you know the car matches the equipment level you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,149 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,245, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $40,558 sits slightly below last year's $41,366.

That softer pricing suggests the model is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a fair shot at a healthy resale outcome later. The current market also shows enough demand to support future trade-in interest, especially for clean, well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,863, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $40,558 average.
• It adds a more performance-focused feel with a stronger enthusiast edge.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
