Is the 2023 Kia Stinger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Kia Stinger earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a sporty, premium-minded liftback that blends rear-wheel-drive performance with turbocharged powertrains and upscale features, while its five-door layout adds more practicality than a traditional sedan. That mix makes it appealing if you want style, driving enjoyment, and everyday usability in one package. 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Stinger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For 2023, the Stinger benefits from the model’s later-year reputation for better reliability, and the buying guide notes that the final model year is considered the best year by JD Power’s Quality and Reliability score. It also carries strong safety credentials, with top crash-test results cited in the overview. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure any specific car has been maintained well and checked carefully for recall-related or feature-related concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Stinger?

At 74.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any car you’re seriously considering and confirm whether it has accident or damage records. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s equipment and mechanical systems are working as expected. Because advanced driver-assistance features were not standard, it’s also worth checking exactly which features are present on the specific listing you’re evaluating.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Stinger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 370 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,001, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Stinger's resale value?

The current average of $32,855 sits slightly below last year's $34,109.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more, especially because buyers tend to reward clean history and well-kept examples. A car bought near the low end of the range gives you a better cushion if prices remain under pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Stinger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,148, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,855 average.
• It offers excellent value for money with strong handling and a stylish design.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the newer-year market position and are willing to pay more for it. If your priority is value, the 2022 is the better path because it delivers similar appeal at a lower price.
