Used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L cost?

Prices have softened 2.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,587 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, and the expert rating is 8.2/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, spaciousness, and comfortable features. They also frequently call out the strong engine performance and towing capability, which fits a family SUV that still wants to feel capable and upscale. The trade-offs are the missing wireless charging and some disappointment with V6 acceleration.

That lines up with the overview: you get a three-row SUV with Jeep character, added passenger space, and a comfort-first personality. It is especially appealing if you want a family-friendly SUV with a premium feel rather than a hard-edged off-roader.

Good and great deals account for 39.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners describing it as a solid choice for families and noting its comfortable, long-term appeal.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Grand Cherokee L is a good value over time, and it includes two years of scheduled maintenance with every 2023 Jeep. That helps soften ownership costs early on.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you avoid a poorly maintained example, since the drivetrain and transmission are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day satisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the vehicle has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, especially how the transmission behaves and whether the cabin and tech features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims use an 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument panel, while Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve get a 10.1-inch touchscreen and full-screen maps on the instrument panel. Lower trims also miss some of the richer interior touches found higher up.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, but it is described as the weakest element in the lineup. A 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet is optional and is the better choice if you tow.
• Safety package: Forward emergency braking, rear emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are standard. Front cross-traffic braking, a backup camera washer, and 360-degree cameras are optional on Limited and Overland trims, while Active Driving Assist is standard only on Summit Reserve.
• Infotainment: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims. The lower trims use an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while higher trims move to a 10.1-inch screen with navigation and a more advanced instrument-panel display.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 4x4 model is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The V8 drops to 14 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is offered in 8 trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, Summit Reserve, and the two additional trims referenced in the equipment descriptions.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point if you want the Grand Cherokee L shape, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the basic 8.4-inch touchscreen without paying for the richer upper-trim equipment.
• Altitude: Choose this if you want a more stylish look and the same core tech foundation as the Laredo, but with a little more visual polish.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 10.1-inch touchscreen, navigation, and access to more available safety and convenience equipment.
• Overland: Step here if you want a more upscale cabin and more of the premium-feeling features that make the Grand Cherokee L stand out.
• Summit: This trim is for buyers who want the luxury-leaning experience and the strongest mix of comfort and technology without going all the way to the top.
• Summit Reserve: This is the most fully equipped choice, with the strongest tech and safety content, including standard Active Driving Assist.

The safety package is strongest on higher trims, and Active Driving Assist is standard only on Summit Reserve.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings higher prices, but also strong handling, great ride quality, and premium interior materials.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,227, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $30,479 average.
• It blends Jeep’s rugged image with a more upscale feel.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of comfort, tech, and safety in this generation, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core Grand Cherokee L experience.
