Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearDallas, TX

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,393 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.38/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space. The Ridgeline also fits buyers who want a practical daily driver with strong safety appeal and a truck that feels easy to live with.

The main trade-offs are its outdated technology and weaker towing and off-road capability than some rivals. That makes it best for you if your truck needs are centered on everyday usefulness rather than hard-core hauling or trail duty.

With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.38/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, versatility, and useful storage that support everyday confidence. The truck’s refined road manners and practical design also reinforce the sense that it is built to be easy to live with over the long haul.

Honda includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about living with aging technology and the possibility that previous owners may have used the truck harder than its comfort-focused design suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the truck’s electronics, driver-assistance systems, and overall condition, since the Ridgeline’s appeal depends heavily on how well its comfort and convenience features work. Focus on signs of wear that could affect daily usability, especially if you plan to rely on it as a family vehicle or commuter.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, and the higher trims add more convenience and luxury features. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment, especially if you care about the richer feature set found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It is tuned for smooth, refined on-road driving rather than maximum towing or serious off-road use.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require an upgrade to RTL.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus basic HondaLink services. Only RTL-E and Black Edition add navigation, premium audio, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline averaged 22.6 mpg on a road trip, and its official EPA ratings are 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg on the highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula with the V6, all-wheel drive, and standard Honda Sensing. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down compared with the others.
• RTL: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value and equipment. It adds the driver-assistance upgrades that are missing on Sport, making it the smarter choice for most used buyers who want a more complete truck without stretching to the top end.
• RTL-E: Choose this if you want the more premium convenience and tech upgrades, including navigation, premium sound, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging. It suits you best if you plan to spend a lot of time in the truck and want the richer feature set.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the same core capability but the most premium presentation and equipment. It is the right pick if you want the most fully loaded Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require stepping up from Sport to RTL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,393 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,665, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $31,665 sits slightly below last year's $33,277.

That decline suggests the Ridgeline has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for used buyers. For a future seller, that means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim rather than on broad market momentum alone.

The good news is that the model’s practical reputation and strong owner satisfaction help support demand. If you keep the truck clean, well maintained, and properly documented, it should remain appealing to shoppers who want a comfortable, versatile midsize pickup.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.38/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test ratings from IIHS and gets top marks in all NHTSA crash tests, plus a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require an upgrade to RTL.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is aging and not as smooth or refined as newer Honda systems. The headlights are also the only area in the IIHS testing that do not land in the top tier.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.38/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong practicality, good safety, and a refined daily-driver feel.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,522, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,665 average.
• It offers a comfortable, quiet, crossover-like pickup experience.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,664, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,665 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and more modern tech updates.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the sweet spot if you want the Ridgeline’s core strengths at a softer price than the newer model year. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the value play; if you want the newer updates and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
