This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,757 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.89% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $32,091 sits slightly below last year's $36,011.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual than they were a year ago. If you plan to sell later, the best protection is buying a clean, well-maintained example at a competitive price today. Strong demand from family buyers can still support resale, especially for vehicles that present well and have a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,016, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,091 average.
• It is especially enjoyable to drive.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping pool, the 2023 is the stronger primary choice because it combines strong owner satisfaction, decent deal availability, and a softer price trend. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
