Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

For used buyers, that kind of owner confidence lowers long-term ownership risk, though you should still verify condition carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm the vehicle’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. After that, put inspection priority on the seating, cabin features, and overall condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on family-friendly usability. It also makes sense to focus on how well the interior functions in real life, because comfort and practicality are central to the Odyssey’s value.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,760 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,540, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $32,540 sits slightly below last year's $36,295.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the van in good condition, you can help protect your future return. Demand should remain supported by the Odyssey’s family-friendly reputation and broad appeal among used minivan shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,266, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,540 average.
• It emphasizes an engaging, responsive driving feel.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market mix of satisfaction, inventory, and softened pricing. If your main goal is to spend less, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you can live with its older-feeling setup.
