Is the 2023 GMC Yukon a good car?

The 2023 GMC Yukon is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a large SUV with a premium feel and strong everyday usability. Its user rating is 3.4/5, which reflects that balance.

Owners most often praise the quality finishes, spacious interior, and smooth ride. They also like the helpful digital dashboard, and the Yukon’s roomy, modern layout makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size family hauler with an upscale presentation. With 37.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon reliable?

The 2023 GMC Yukon stands out as a full-size SUV that blends a commanding presence with a genuinely upscale feel. Owners describe it as quality-built and smooth-riding, and some feedback points to a vehicle that feels well put together in daily use.

At the same time, owner comments also mention transmission issues and engine recalls, so you should treat reliability as a key part of your shopping process. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently, since those details matter more when you’re shopping a large SUV with mixed reliability feedback.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,717 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,046, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $55,046 sits slightly below last year's $61,048.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the Yukon clean and well documented, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,472, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $55,046 average.
• It offers a more value-focused take on the Yukon with strong capability and plenty of cargo space.

The bottom line:
Buy the 2023 if you want the newer-year pricing trend, a broad inventory pool, and a strong chance of finding a clean example. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
