Used 2022 GMC Yukon for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 12.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,743 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Yukon’s appeal comes from its full-size SUV packaging, upscale “Professional Grade” positioning, and strong mix of capability and space. It also gets a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity for 2022, which helps modernize the cabin.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor value for money.

Good and great deals percentage: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Yukon’s redesign brought meaningful gains in passenger space, cargo space, ride quality, and technology, and the available adaptive air suspension helps improve comfort and handling. The available diesel also adds a durability-oriented powertrain choice, backed by a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher running costs and fuel consumption can make the Yukon expensive to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a truck with towing use. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin, and whether the equipment level matches the trim you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SLE already has a premium look, but the SLT, AT4, and Denali add more upscale presentation, with the Denali bringing the most distinctive interior treatment and the AT4 adding unique off-road styling cues. Base-trim cloth seats are a notable gap versus the leather-equipped higher trims.
• Powertrain: You can choose among a 5.3-liter V8, a 6.2-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder. The diesel stands out for excellent fuel economy and long-range capability, while the V8s emphasize power and towing strength.
• Safety package: GMC Pro Safety is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above but only available on SLE.
• Infotainment: The Yukon has a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and wireless phone charging on all but the SLE. The standard 12-inch driver information center is another key upgrade for 2022.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says V8 versions return 16-17 mpg combined, while diesel versions average 22-23 mpg combined. In testing, the Yukon averaged 14.9 mpg in mostly city driving.

Which 2022 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2022 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the Yukon’s premium look plus the standard 12-inch driver information center and core safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra comfort and convenience features.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and unlocks more equipment, including the available safety upgrade that becomes standard here. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the one to target.
• AT4: Choose this if you want the Yukon’s off-road-oriented styling and hardware, including unique front styling, a skid plate, red recovery hooks, and standard 4WD. It’s the right pick if you want capability and a more rugged personality.
• Denali: This is the luxury-focused choice, with the most distinctive interior treatment, standard heated and cooled front seats, and the most premium presentation overall. Buy this if you want the most upscale Yukon experience.

GMC Pro Safety Plus is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,743 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $46,227 sits slightly below last year's $52,658.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to the original market peak.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $41,209, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $46,227 average.
• The redesigned 2021 improves space, ride quality, and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped and more current choice, the 2022 is the stronger pick. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up some of the 2022’s added value, the 2021 is the budget-friendly alternative.
