Used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer cost?

Prices have softened 17.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 765 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its advanced interior, spaciousness, comfort, and towing capability, and it is especially appealing if you want a family-friendly luxury SUV with a lot of room. The overview also points to a strong mix of premium materials, powerful performance, and off-road capability, though the trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and poor value for money. With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for comfort and family-friendly space alongside concerns about reliability. The expert review also notes a quiet cabin and a powertrain that delivers strong thrust, which supports the impression of a well-built long-haul SUV. Jeep backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, complex luxury SUV can become expensive to keep if reliability or fuel costs become a problem.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, suspension behavior, and signs of heavy use, since this is a large, high-tech luxury SUV. It also makes sense to pay close attention to interior condition, because the cabin is a major part of the Grand Wagoneer’s appeal.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Grand Wagoneer is differentiated from the standard Wagoneer by a standard black roof and model-specific hood, front fascia, and grille. The cabin adds 24-way power front seats with memory, massage, lumbar support, and four-way power headrests, plus heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats and a heated steering wheel. Nappa leather is standard, with higher-grade Palermo leather available, so the better-equipped trims are the ones that most fully deliver the luxury experience.
• Powertrain: It uses a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also has cylinder deactivation for improved fuel economy, standard four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, an electronic limited-slip differential, and Selec-Terrain drive modes.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a 360-degree camera system, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection collision assist, and rear parking sensors. Active Driving Assist adds automated lane centering, but it still requires hands on the wheel.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with 3D graphics, dual touchscreens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, McIntosh audio, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing, and a 4G-LTE WiFi hotspot for up to eight devices. Uconnect 5 also brings OTA software updates.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 13 mpg city, 18 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is offered in 4 trim levels: Series I, Series II, Series III, Obsidian.

Here's the short version:

• Series I: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Grand Wagoneer formula: the big V8, standard 4WD, the air suspension, and the upscale cabin hardware that separates it from the standard Wagoneer. It makes sense if you want the model’s main strengths without stretching to the pricier trims.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and was the test vehicle. It should give you a strong balance of luxury equipment, technology, and capability without pushing all the way to the top-end pricing.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most fully loaded version and are willing to pay for it. It is the top trim, so it is the one to target if you want the most complete luxury experience.
• Obsidian: This is the style-focused choice in the lineup. If you want the Grand Wagoneer’s upscale presence with a darker, more distinctive look, this is the trim to consider.

Standard safety equipment is already extensive, while Active Driving Assist is available for buyers who want more driver-assistance capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 765 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,501, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer's resale value?

The current average of $43,501 sits slightly below last year's $52,525.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you should expect more competition from similarly priced listings. On the other hand, the Grand Wagoneer’s strong equipment and luxury positioning can still support demand among shoppers looking for a premium full-size SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer safe?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer does not yet have crash-test ratings from IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include a 360-degree camera system, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection collision assist, and rear parking sensors. Active Driving Assist adds automated lane centering, but it still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel. Jeep also plans a hands-free version later, but that system is not part of the standard launch setup.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out as the Grand Wagoneer’s debut year, with a powerful V8, standard 4WD, and a tech-heavy cabin that helped establish the model’s identity.

The bottom line: If you want the original model-year version of Jeep’s flagship luxury SUV, the 2022 is the one to target because it delivers the full Grand Wagoneer formula and now comes with softer pricing than it had a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping listings carefully and focus on the best-equipped examples that are priced near the low end of the range.
