Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, comfort, and pleasant driving experience, and many also value the generous room for families and the number of features available. The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with reviewers highlighting a trouble-free feel, comfort over time, and confidence in the vehicle’s long-term usefulness. The 2023 model also benefits from improved reliability compared with the original Traverse, which supports its case as a used buy. For you, the main long-term risk is that it still does not rank at the very top of the class, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market looks healthy, because accident history can affect value and future ownership confidence. Put inspection priority on the cabin, electronics, and overall condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and usability. It is also smart to focus on how well the interior has held up, especially if you plan to use the third row often.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $29,032 sits slightly below last year's $32,378.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect value when it is time to sell. The Traverse’s broad family appeal should continue to support demand, especially for clean examples with good equipment and a strong service record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,163, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,032 average.
• It offers practical space and easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,027, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,032 average.
• It adds more space and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better secondary path because it delivers the Traverse formula at a lower entry price.
