Is the 2023 Audi S4 a good car?

The 2023 Audi S4 stands out as a compact luxury sport sedan that blends strong performance with everyday usability. It uses a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged V6 producing 354 ponies and 369 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. That combination makes it appealing if you want quick acceleration and confident traction without giving up refinement.

The cabin also leans into convenience, with the reconfigurable Virtual Cockpit and Google navigation helping it feel current. For shoppers who value a polished driving character and modern tech in a daily driver, the S4 fits that brief well.

31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Audi S4 reliable?

The 2023 Audi S4 is described as decent for this generation, but it comes with the usual Audi ownership caveat that maintenance can be more demanding than some rivals. The overview also notes that RepairPal rates Audis below average for reliability.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about upkeep costs and maintenance discipline than outright drivability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Audi S4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a performance sedan with more complex equipment. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of deferred service so you can avoid a car that looks good on paper but needs immediate work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Audi S4?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop thoughtfully and still find worthwhile listings if you move on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Audi S4's resale value?

The current average of $41,734 sits slightly below last year's $45,543.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later. For a future seller, the key will be maintaining service history and presenting a clean vehicle history report.

Should I buy a 2023 Audi S4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.36% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want the S4’s quick acceleration, standard all-wheel drive, and modern cabin tech at a softer market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar car with the features you want is listed at a lower entry point.
