Used 2022 Toyota Tundra for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2022 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 8.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,345 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.69/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful engine, advanced features, and reliability, and many also like its solid feel and smooth ride. On the downside, some shoppers question whether current prices match the value, and the truck’s design may be polarizing. For you, that means the Tundra makes the most sense if you want a work-ready full-size pickup with modern tech and a loyal following rather than the cheapest path into the segment. Good and great deals account for 36.9% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to reliability, durability, and a truck that owners feel good about keeping for the long haul. The expert evaluation also emphasizes Toyota’s reputation for durability and value, along with a platform designed to serve buyers for a long time. Toyota’s standard maintenance and ownership-friendly approach helps reinforce that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a truck whose value is tied closely to condition and prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Tundra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and cabin electronics, since those are the areas where wear and prior use can show up fastest. Focus on overall condition, because a truck with a strong maintenance record and clean bodywork is usually the safer buy than one with a lower sticker price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SR is the work-focused starting point, while SR5 and Limited are the core trims and bring more of the features most shoppers will want. Higher grades add more premium materials and amenities, and the TRD Pro stands apart with a more aggressive appearance and off-road-oriented hardware.
• Powertrain: The standard twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 delivers 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, while the hybrid i-Force Max raises output to 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. Rear-wheel drive is standard, four-wheel drive is available on all trims, and the TRD Pro comes standard with 4WD.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitor is not available on SR and is standard on all other trim levels except SR.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch touchscreen is standard on SR and SR5, while a 14-inch touchscreen is standard on Limited and above and optional on SR5. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all models, and Toyota Connected services are included with a trial period.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 18 mpg city/23 mpg highway/20 mpg combined for rear-wheel-drive gas models and 17 mpg city/22 mpg highway/19 mpg combined for four-wheel-drive gas models.

Which 2022 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value-oriented starting point if you want the redesigned Tundra at the lowest entry price. It gives you the new truck’s core hardware, but it is also the trim where some key convenience and safety features are most limited.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the lineup and is one of Toyota’s core trims. It also unlocks more equipment and is the trim where the larger touchscreen becomes optional, making it a smart step up from SR.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want the Tundra’s tech to feel fully modern. It gets the 14-inch touchscreen standard, and it adds more premium cabin content that makes the truck feel more upscale.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more luxury-leaning Tundra with additional comfort and tech features. It builds on the Limited’s strengths and moves the truck closer to a premium daily driver.
• 1794: This is the upscale choice for buyers who want the most luxurious feel in the lineup. It is positioned as Toyota’s ultimate luxury truck and is the trim where high-end features and available display tech make the biggest impression.
• TRD Pro: This is the flagship for buyers who want the most capability-focused version. It comes standard with 4WD and adds FOX shocks and aluminum skid plates, making it the trim to choose if you want the most rugged factory setup.

Blind-spot monitor is not available on SR and is standard on all other trim levels except SR.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,345 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,388, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $38,388 sits slightly below last year's $42,089.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward from last year’s higher levels, which can help future resale if you buy at the right price today. If you overpay now, though, you may have less room to recover that cost later. The good news is that the Tundra’s strong reputation and loyal buyer base should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Tundra safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard on all models and includes pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. The Star Safety System is also standard, along with eight airbags, LATCH connectors, tire-pressure monitoring, hill-start control, and parking support brake with rear cross-traffic alert. Blind-spot monitor is available on SR5 as part of a package and standard on all other trims except SR, where it is not available.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a new powertrain, major tech upgrades, and a much more modern cabin.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,756, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $38,388 average.
• It favors a proven, older formula with modern infotainment and safety updates.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,542, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $38,388 average.
• It mostly carries over the redesign with an added SX appearance package for SR5.

The bottom line: If you want the biggest leap in technology and powertrain design, the 2022 is the right starting point. If you’re shopping on price, the 2021 can still appeal for its simpler, proven character, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the same redesigned truck and are willing to pay more for a newer model year.
