You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and prioritize cars with clean records. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota C-HR?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 323 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,231, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota C-HR's resale value?

The current average of $22,231 sits slightly below last year's $22,864.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with clean history should be easier to move than one with prior damage or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,621, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,231 average.
• It offers funky styling and good value for shoppers who want personality over practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with stronger market support and a broad listing pool, the 2022 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the smarter value play.
