Used 2022 Honda Passport for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2022 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,877 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable number of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It stands out as a rugged-leaning two-row midsize SUV with a light restyle, a more outdoorsy TrailSport trim, and a cabin that emphasizes everyday usability. The Passport’s strengths are easy to understand: it is fun to drive, comfortable, and offers plenty of cargo space.

The trade-offs are just as clear: its infotainment technology is outdated, and its advanced safety features are less refined than many rivals. For you, that means the Passport makes the most sense if you want a practical SUV with a more adventurous personality rather than the latest tech polish.

Good and great deals account for 35.1% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Passport is built around a proven V6 powertrain and a roomy, comfortable cabin, both of which support its reputation as a straightforward, easy-to-live-with SUV. Its value proposition also benefits from generous standard equipment and a simple utility-first layout.

The expert test-drive data also points to a durable-feeling drivetrain and a vehicle that remains appealing over long distances, even if some of its technology feels dated. Honda’s maintenance coverage language is not included here, so the ownership story centers more on the Passport’s mechanical simplicity and broad usability.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its aging platform and less-refined driver-assist tech may feel increasingly dated as the miles add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any specific listing and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen heavy family or road-trip use. Focus on cabin condition, cargo-area wear, brake feel, and whether the driver-assist systems behave the way you expect during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2022 Passport is offered in three trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite. The EX-L is the base model and already includes leather seats, while the TrailSport adds a more outdoorsy look with unique wheels, a roof rack, simulated skid plates, orange contrast stitching, amber ambient lighting, embroidered headrest emblems, and rubber all-season floor mats. The Elite sits at the top of the lineup with the most equipment.
• Powertrain: The Passport uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is limited to the EX-L, while TrailSport and Elite come standard with Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centering assist. The Passport also includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat reminder, and a seatbelt reminder system. The lane-maintenance features are less refined than many rivals.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, and wireless smartphone charging. TrailSport adds navigation, while Elite adds a 10-speaker premium sound system and HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access.
• Fuel efficiency: The Passport is rated at 22 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 21 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The TrailSport test vehicle averaged 21.3 mpg over hundreds of miles of driving.

Which 2022 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L: This is the best-value choice if you want the lowest entry point without giving up the Passport’s core appeal. It already includes leather seats and the standard tech and safety equipment, so you get the essentials in a well-equipped package.
• TrailSport: This is the trim to choose if you want the Passport’s new outdoorsy personality. It adds the TrailSport look, standard all-wheel drive, navigation, and the most distinctive design touches, making it the most characterful middle ground.
• Elite: This is the pick if you want the most upscale Passport experience. It adds the premium sound system and HondaLink connected services with WiFi hotspot access, making it the most feature-rich version.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but its lane-departure warning and lane-centering assist functions are less refined than many competitors’ systems.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,877 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,021, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $29,022 sits slightly below last year's $30,892.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened enough to create a more approachable used market for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one, the current trend points to a market that still values the Passport’s space, comfort, and V6 power, even if depreciation has moved in buyers’ favor.

For a future seller, the key is to present the SUV as a well-kept, well-equipped example rather than relying on broad market momentum. Clean history, strong condition, and desirable trim equipment should matter more now that prices have eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Passport safe?

The 2022 Honda Passport earns five-star ratings in all but front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision, which earns four stars, and it also gets a four-star rating for rollover resistance from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it top ratings in most respects, but it earns an Acceptable rating for front-passenger protection in a small overlap collision.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, a rear-seat reminder, and a seatbelt reminder system.

The main caveat is that the lane-departure warning and lane-centering assist functions are less refined than you may want, and the blind-spot indicator is placed awkwardly. The Passport also falls short of top safety ratings, which is worth weighing if safety tech is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings the first TrailSport trim and a light restyle that broadens its appeal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,947, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,022 average.
• It offers a simpler, more straightforward take on the Passport with a more active character.

The bottom line: If you want the newer look, TrailSport trim, and stronger market availability, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you can live without the 2022 updates, the 2021 is the value play.
