Used 2022 GMC Yukon for Sale near Indiana

How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 12.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,545 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Yukon’s appeal is rooted in its full-size SUV mission: it gives you a premium-leaning design, a spacious cabin, and plenty of cargo room for family duty and hauling. It also brings multiple powertrain choices, including a powerful engine, so you can tailor it more closely to your needs.

The trade-offs are clear, though. The expert notes call out poor fuel economy and poor value for money, so you’re paying for size, capability, and upscale presentation rather than efficiency or bargain pricing.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Yukon’s redesign brings a more refined cabin, improved space, and a smoother ride than the previous generation, which supports confidence for everyday use. The available diesel also adds a strong efficiency option, and GM backs that engine with a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

The performance notes also point to a composed highway ride and strong towing ability, both of which matter if you plan to keep the SUV for family travel or heavy-duty use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, complex SUV can be expensive to own if maintenance or repairs stack up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage examples or trucks with towing use. Focus on overall condition, because a full-size SUV like this can hide wear in the cabin, suspension, and cargo area even when it looks clean at first glance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SLE has cloth seats, while other trims add perforated leather; the AT4 and Denali also get heated and cooled front seats. The Denali stands out with four interior designs not offered on other trims, while the AT4 adds its own dark, off-road-flavored styling. If you want the most upscale cabin, the Denali is the clear step up; if you want a more rugged look, the AT4 is the one to target.
• Powertrain: You get a choice of three engines: a 5.3-liter V8, a 6.2-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder. The diesel is the efficiency play and is described as delivering excellent fuel economy, while the 6.2-liter V8 is the strongest gas option. The AT4 is not offered with the diesel.
• Safety package: Every 2022 Yukon comes with GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; it is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.
• Infotainment: The Yukon uses a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging on all but the SLE. It also has a standard 12-inch driver information center, and AT4 and Denali add three years of connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The V8 models return 16-17 mpg combined, while the diesel versions average 22-23 mpg combined. The diesel also offers up to 648 miles of range on a tank.

Which 2022 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2022 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Yukon’s core size, space, and standard safety tech without the extra luxury touches. It’s the trim to consider if you want the lowest starting price and plan to add only the options you truly need.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and unlocks more equipment without jumping all the way to the top end. If you want a nicer daily driver with broader feature availability, this is the trim to focus on.
• AT4: This is the off-road-oriented choice, with unique front styling, a skid plate, red recovery hooks, and standard 4WD. It also gets heated and cooled front seats and a more rugged personality, so it suits you if you want capability and a distinct look.
• Denali: This is the luxury pick, with the most premium interior treatment, standard second-row captain’s chairs, and the strongest available gas engine. If you want the most upscale Yukon experience, this is the one to buy.

GMC Pro Safety Plus is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,545 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,885, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $46,885 sits slightly below last year's $53,582.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Well-equipped trims and clean history examples should hold up better than rougher trucks, especially if they have desirable powertrains or strong maintenance records. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon safe?

The 2022 GMC Yukon earns an overall four-star rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for front crash protection, five-star ratings for side crash protection, and three-star ratings for rollover resistance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Yukon comes with GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above.

The main caveat is the rollover result, which trails the rest of the crash-test performance. That makes it especially important to pay attention to tire condition, load management, and how you drive a vehicle this large.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $41,907, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $46,885 average.
• It delivers a redesigned cabin with more space and a smoother ride.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping opportunity, the 2022 is the stronger pick because prices have eased, inventory is healthy, and it adds useful tech updates. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the value alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
