This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

The current average of $18,440 sits slightly below last year's $19,312.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing trend means your future resale value will depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is maintained. A clean history and strong ownership record should help support demand when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2022’s stronger market balance.
