Why it stands out
The 2021 Toyota 4Runner remains a strong contender in the midsize SUV category, primarily due to its celebrated off-road prowess and reputation for reliability. Despite its age, the 4Runner retains a rugged appeal, making it an ideal choice for those who venture off the beaten path. Key features include a robust 4.0-liter V6 engine delivering 270 horsepower and a highly capable four-wheel-drive system. While it may lack modern finesse in terms of ride comfort and technology, it compensates with a utilitarian build designed for durability. Its spacious interior, available third-row seating, and versatile cargo options cater to families and outdoor enthusiasts who require both passenger and storage space. Although some may find its fuel economy lacking—averaging around 17 mpg—buyers appreciate the 4Runner's substantial long-term value.

A classic top of the line quality vehicle for the price. The TRD is a fun version but I think the Luxury of the Limited is unmatched and can still be customized if you want. Love the automatic back window!

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The 4Runner is beautiful inside & out. Hardly any road noise, it has so much room and I love the remote start. It’s everything I’ve wanted and I’ll definitely feel safer on the road with my newborn.
