Why it stands out
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner is an exceptional choice for those seeking a sturdy SUV with substantial off-road capabilities and a generous cargo space. Its design has roots dating back over a decade, but this age allows for a reliance on proven mechanical components that enhance its durability and functionality, making it a go-to option for outdoor enthusiasts. The 4Runner's robust 4.0-liter V6 engine produces 270 horsepower and is coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission, ensuring a reliable performance in rugged conditions.
The interior of the 4Runner is spacious, with ample headroom and legroom in both the front and back seats, making it a comfortable ride for all. Despite some criticisms regarding outdated technology and lack of advanced safety features, the 4Runner is still favored for its distinctive rugged charm and reliability. The recent tests have shown its off-road functionality, especially in trims equipped with Toyota’s Multi-Terrain Select system and Crawl Control, setting it apart from many competitors in the segment.
Moreover, the consensus among owners emphasizes its smooth ride, albeit with some noted drawbacks such as fuel efficiency and higher ownership costs, which are important considerations for prospective buyers. But if adventure is calling, the 2019 Toyota 4Runner is designed to answer.

The car itself is a great ride if you like a truck-ish feel, but unfortunately, I dont think its worth having my insurance and gas alone (exclusive of the cost of the car) cost more on a monthly basis than my mortgage.
