Used 2021 Honda Passport for Sale nearDallas, TX

How much does the 2021 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 5.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 980 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — with a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating, the 2021 Honda Passport lands as a strong choice for many used-SUV shoppers.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, smooth handling, cargo space, and audio quality. Those themes line up with the Passport’s appeal as a practical two-row SUV that still feels a bit more adventurous than a typical family crossover.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the transmission can feel irritating, and the seats are described as uncomfortable.

If you want an SUV that balances everyday usability with a more active personality, the Passport fits that brief well. Good and great deals make up 34.1% of listings, so there are still opportunities to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as comfortable, spacious, and smooth to live with, and they also point to value, cargo space, and audio quality as recurring strengths. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Passport’s comfortable ride and reliability, which supports the idea that it should be a dependable daily driver.

Honda also notes that the Passport offers many of the Pilot’s advantages, including comfort and reliability, while adding more standard content. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the transmission and seat comfort still suit you after years of use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Passport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, seat comfort, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment carefully, because the Passport’s value changes meaningfully as you move up the range.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, push-button start, tri-zone climate control, a seven-speaker audio system, and a one-touch fold-down rear bench. EX-L adds leather upholstery, a power moonroof, a power rear liftgate, walk-away auto-locking, and power-adjustable front seats. Touring adds front-and-rear parking sensors, a hands-free liftgate, a 115-volt outlet, an upgraded 10-speaker stereo, satellite-linked navigation, and a WiFi hotspot. Elite adds heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, and wireless device charging.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic. You get standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive, and the V6 is described as strong while the transmission manages power well.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability. Available features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front-and-rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The Passport gets a standard 8-inch touchscreen, plus standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Honda also makes wireless device charging available on the Elite, while the system itself is criticized for dated graphics and a confusing menu layout.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD model returns 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. With AWD, it returns 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Passport is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the value play if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the V6, the 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a solid set of standard comfort and convenience features.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leather upholstery, a power moonroof, a power rear liftgate, and more power-adjustable seating without jumping too far in price.
• Touring: Choose this if you want a more upscale daily driver, since it adds parking sensors, a hands-free liftgate, navigation, a WiFi hotspot, and a better stereo.
• Elite: This is the trim to buy if you want the most comfort and convenience, especially heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, and wireless charging.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to find value.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 980 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,973, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $24,381 sits slightly below last year's $25,690.

That price movement suggests the Passport has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. For a future seller, that means your best outcome will depend heavily on purchase price, trim choice, mileage, and condition.

Because the market has softened, you may have a better chance of buying below the recent average than you would have a year ago. That can help protect your position later if demand stays steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Passport safe?

The 2021 Honda Passport earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and top "Good" scores in most IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability. Available driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front-and-rear parking sensors.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind: IIHS gave it an "Acceptable" rating in the passenger-side small overlap front crash test, and it also received "Acceptable" ratings for headlights and child-seat anchor ease of use. That means you should pay close attention to trim and equipment when comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over largely unchanged while adding some additional features.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,206, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $24,381 average.
• It offers rugged appeal with thoughtful interior functionality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,181, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $24,381 average.
• It adds a light restyle, a TrailSport trim, and new safety features.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around pick if you want a familiar Passport with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want newer styling and added features, the 2022 is the upgrade path.
