Used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer for Sale nearKalamazoo, MI

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer cost?

Prices have softened 10.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,162 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 8/10.

Drivers consistently praise its sporty look, responsive power, and driving enjoyment, and many also call out its strong feature set. The overview frames it as a style-first SUV with appealing handling, which matches the user feedback. The main trade-offs are the cheap-feeling interior materials and the irritating transmission, and the expert review also flags poor value for money. If you want a distinctive crossover that puts design and road feel ahead of practicality, this model year fits that brief. Good and great deals account for 32.1% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise for the Blazer’s strong features and enjoyable driving character. The expert review also describes it as a vehicle that feels composed and well sorted on the road, which supports confidence in everyday use. It also notes that the Blazer’s technology is easy to use, which can reduce day-to-day frustration over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you can live with the cabin quality and transmission behavior.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Focus on the transmission’s behavior on a test drive, since that is one of the model’s known weak points. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely, because the feature gap between lower and higher trims can be significant.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The L, LT, RS, and Premier trims are differentiated by styling details, wheel designs, and cabin materials, with the lower trims feeling more basic and the Premier offering a more upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: The Blazer offers a 2.5-liter inline-four, a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, and a 3.6-liter V6, with the V6 delivering the strongest performance and the base engine described as underpowered and noisy.
• Safety package: Driver assists include forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams, but they are standard on most trims except the L and 1LT.
• Infotainment: Every Blazer gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Plus version adds navigation with traffic, 4G WiFi, onboard apps, better voice recognition, and two-phone pairing.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD V6 returns 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, while the AWD turbo inline-four is rated at 22/27/24.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in 4 trim levels: L, LT, RS, Premier.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, but the content makes clear that you should avoid it if you want the Blazer’s better powertrain and equipment mix.
• LT: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Blazer’s style and core tech without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• RS: This is the enthusiast pick, pairing the strongest engine with sport-tuned hardware and the most engaging driving character.
• Premier: This is the most upscale choice, with the richest trim presentation and the most premium-feeling cabin details.

The safety package is standard on most trims except the L and 1LT, so you should verify equipment carefully if you shop lower in the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,597, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The current average of $20,597 sits slightly below last year's $23,091.

That decline suggests the Blazer has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A softer market today can also make it easier to find a used example that still has room to hold value better from here. The model’s distinctive styling and strong owner satisfaction should help sustain buyer interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer safe?

The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall and in all three crash tests, with four-star ratings for the front passenger in the frontal crash and for rollover.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Blazer’s standard driver-assistance setup includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams on most trims. The enhanced forward emergency braking system adds radar and is available only on top trims with the Driver Confidence II package. The safety picture is strong overall, but the IIHS headlight results are a notable weak point.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for its easy-to-use technology and strong handling.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,117, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $20,597 average.
• It adds a more practical five-passenger layout with up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because prices are softer and inventory is healthy. If you want a newer model and are willing to pay more for added practicality, the 2022 is the alternative to consider.
