Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $13,002, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $12,135 average.
• It adds helpful tech features that support everyday convenience.

The bottom line: If your priority is value, the 2020 is the better starting point because it offers a lower average price and a softer market. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer alternative with more tech convenience, the 2021 is worth considering; otherwise, the 2020 is the smarter pick for price-sensitive shoppers.
