Used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette for Sale nearSilver Spring, MD

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 4.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,155 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — 4.84/5 from owners and 8.67/10 from expert testing point to a very strong overall package. The model scores 10/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the handling, acceleration, stunning looks, and near-supercar value. The mid-engine redesign is a major part of that appeal, and the car’s dramatic styling and performance-first character come through clearly in both owner feedback and the overview.

The main trade-offs are poor visibility and limited cargo space, and some owners say the standard seats could be comfier. Even so, the Corvette’s use case is clear: if you want a serious sports car that feels special without supercar pricing, this year fits that brief well.

With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.84/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: strong performance, impressive handling, and a design that owners are happy to live with over time. The expert notes also reinforce that sense of confidence by describing the car as a well-sorted, highly capable sports car with a polished driving experience.

Chevrolet also includes the first scheduled maintenance service for free, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is less about mechanical fragility and more about finding a well-kept example that hasn’t been abused or modified heavily.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a sports car like this can attract hard use, cosmetic damage, or aftermarket changes. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the condition of the brakes, tires, suspension, and interior wear, along with any signs that the car has been tracked or poorly repaired. Pay close attention to visibility-related equipment and parking aids, since the car’s rearward visibility is a known weakness.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Stingray 1LT Coupe is the stripped-down starting point, while 2LT and 3LT add the features many buyers will want. The higher trims bring a more upscale cabin, and the 2LT and 3LT also add important visibility and parking aids that help offset the car’s poor rear visibility.
• Powertrain: The car uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque in standard tune, rising to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Z51 package or optional performance exhaust. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard, and the Z51 package adds cooling, an electronic limited-slip differential, a performance axle ratio, suspension tuning, and upgraded brakes.
• Safety package: The Corvette includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology as standard. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar connected services, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth pairing. The 2LT and 3LT add satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is rated at 15 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: Stingray 1LT Coupe, 2LT, and 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• Stingray 1LT Coupe: This is the entry point if you want the Corvette experience at the lowest starting price. It gives you the core performance hardware, but it is the most stripped-down version, so you give up the extra comfort, convenience, and visibility features found higher up the range.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the features that make the Corvette easier to live with, including the head-up display and the extra safety and convenience equipment tied to the higher trims. If you want the sweet spot between price and everyday usability, this is the one to focus on.
• 3LT: This is the most luxurious version, with a more upscale interior and the richest materials. It suits you best if you want the most premium cabin experience and are willing to pay more for it.

The 2LT and 3LT trims also bring the blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, curb-view camera system, and rear camera mirror.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,155 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,910, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $62,931 sits slightly below last year's $65,753.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Because this model has strong owner satisfaction and broad enthusiast appeal, clean examples should continue to draw interest. Well-kept cars with desirable equipment are likely to hold demand better than rougher or heavily modified ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.84/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette does not earn a standout crash-test headline in the source material, but it does include several useful safety features for real-world driving.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. If you move up to 2LT or 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror. That higher-trim safety content matters here because rear visibility is a major weakness.

The main caveat is that this is still a driver-focused sports car, so you should not expect the kind of broad ADAS coverage you’d find in a more mainstream vehicle. You need to be comfortable relying on your own judgment behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.84/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The mid-engine redesign transforms the Corvette into a world-class supercar while keeping value strong.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $64,490, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $62,931 average.
• It adds the appeal of a convertible open-air driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, performance, and market availability, the 2020 is the better buy. If you specifically want the open-air experience and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is worth a look.
