Used 2020 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 4.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,508 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The Colorado’s overview shows a midsize pickup that blends real utility with a broad range of trims and powertrains, so you can shop it as either a basic workhorse or a more comfortable daily driver. Its appeal is strongest if you want a truck with useful capability and a wide trim spread rather than a one-size-fits-all setup. 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also points to a known issue with the model line’s early transmission behavior, including reports of shakes, jerks, clunks, and failure to engage on some trucks built from 2014 to 2019 and even a few later ones. That makes condition history and test-drive behavior especially important when you’re evaluating a used example. For long-term ownership, you should be cautious about trucks with signs of drivetrain hesitation or inconsistent shifting.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Colorado?

At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage affected the frame, suspension, or drivetrain. Put the transmission high on your inspection list, and pay close attention to how the truck shifts, accelerates, and downshifts during a test drive. It also helps to focus on overall condition, since trim and equipment differences can make two similarly priced trucks feel very different.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right truck checks your boxes, but you should still compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,508 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,307, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $22,406 sits slightly below last year's $23,405.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the key is to buy a well-kept truck with clean history and desirable equipment, since those traits tend to hold buyer interest better. A Colorado that presents well and avoids known mechanical concerns should be easier to move later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,555, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,406 average.
• It emphasizes straightforward usefulness, available diesel power, and off-road capability.

The 2020 is the better all-around pick if you want a broader mix of trims and a market with decent deal availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2019 is the more price-conscious path, especially if you value simplicity and can find a clean example.
