How much does the 2020 Audi Q8 cost?

Prices have softened 13.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 640 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

The Q8 is positioned as a performance-focused crossover that is meant to work both on the street and on the track, and it also offers plenty of cargo space and impressive technology. That makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with a more athletic mission and everyday usefulness.

The trade-offs are that its performance is described as fairly pedestrian and its ergonomic design is poor, so it may not feel as polished in daily use as its styling suggests. Even so, the market still shows 39.7% good or great deals, which gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q8 is described as a flagship luxury SUV with a strong mix of standard equipment, and its powertrain is presented as smooth and sufficient for everyday use. The expert notes also point to a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, plus standard Quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi also includes a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which helps with early ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Q8’s upscale hardware and technology can be costly to keep in top shape if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with a lot of technology and available driver-assistance equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the interior, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Q8 comes in three trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus. The base Q8 is the most straightforward choice, while the higher trims add more equipment and are better suited if you want a more fully loaded luxury experience.
• Powertrain: Every Q8 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It delivers 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, with fuel economy of 17 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning are standard on the SQ8 and RS Q8 and available on the Q8.
• Infotainment: The Q8 uses Audi’s MMI system with a larger central screen and a smaller lower screen for climate controls. It includes navigation, Audi Virtual Cockpit, a WiFi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa integration, and front and rear smartphone compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q8 is rated at 17 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Audi Q8 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Audi Q8 is offered in 3 trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Audi Q8 Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q8 experience with the standard turbocharged V6, Quattro all-wheel drive, the dual-screen cabin layout, wireless smartphone integration, and the main safety basics. It makes sense if you want the Q8’s style and tech without paying for extras you may not need.
• Audi Q8 Prestige: This is the trim to target if you want a more upscale feel and a better-equipped luxury SUV. It builds on the Premium with a richer feature set and is the better value if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while and want more of the Q8’s premium content from the start.
• Audi Q8 Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped Q8 trim and is the right pick if you want the most complete version of the standard model. It suits you best if you value convenience, comfort, and a more loaded feature set over minimizing purchase price.

The safety package is strongest on the higher-performance SQ8 and RS Q8, while the standard Q8 still offers available driver-assistance upgrades.

What is the 2020 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $31,182 sits slightly below last year's $36,073.

That decline suggests the Q8 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you’re planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the market has already adjusted downward, so condition and equipment will matter more when it comes time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
