Used 2020 Audi Q8 for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2020 Audi Q8 cost?

Prices have softened 13.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 650 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

The Q8 is positioned as a performance-focused crossover that is meant to work both on the street and on the track, and it also offers plenty of cargo space and impressive technology. That makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with a more athletic mission and everyday usefulness.

The trade-offs are that its performance is described as fairly pedestrian and its ergonomic design is poor, so it may not feel as polished in use as its styling suggests. Even so, 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q8 is described as a luxury SUV with strong powertrain credentials and a well-equipped cabin, and its expert evaluation also points to solid safety and technology strengths. Its turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder delivers 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and the transmission is described as smooth from gear to gear.

Audi also includes a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which helps with early ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium SUV with this much equipment can be costly to keep in top shape if prior maintenance has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with advanced electronics and multiple available driver-assistance features. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the equipment works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Q8 comes in three trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus. The base Q8 is the least lavish of the three, while the higher trims add more equipment and a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: Every Q8 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. It is tuned for 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, with fuel economy of 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning are standard on the SQ8 and RS Q8 and available on the Q8.
• Infotainment: The Q8 uses Audi’s MMI system with dual screens, and all three models have navigation, Audi Virtual Cockpit, a WiFi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa integration, and front and rear smartphone compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q8 is rated at 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Audi Q8 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Audi Q8 is offered in 3 trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Audi Q8 Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q8 experience with the standard powertrain, Quattro all-wheel drive, dual-screen infotainment, and the luxury basics you expect. It makes sense if you want the Q8’s style and capability without stretching for extras.
• Audi Q8 Prestige: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete luxury experience, since it sits above the base model and should be the sweet spot for shoppers who want more equipment without moving into the highest-priced version.
• Audi Q8 Premium Plus: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped standard Q8 trim and are willing to pay more for it.

Safety equipment is strongest on the SQ8 and RS Q8, while the Q8 makes some of those advanced driver-assistance features available rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q8?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 650 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,075, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $31,397 sits slightly below last year's $36,198.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy now, you may benefit from the softer pricing, but resale upside will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 safe?

The Audi Q8 has received very good safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and near-perfect crash test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Q8 comes with high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning are standard on the SQ8 and RS Q8 and available on the Q8.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 Q8 is positioned as a performance-focused crossover with plenty of cargo space and impressive technology.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and the Q8’s upscale performance-luxury appeal, the 2020 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop the lower end of the range and focus on clean-history examples with the equipment you care about most.
