Is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers repeatedly praise the smooth ride, high-quality interior, and practical features like the built-in bed storage and comfortable seating. For you, that makes this a strong fit if you want a pickup that emphasizes everyday comfort and usability rather than a more traditional truck feel. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, practicality, and features people continue to count on over time. That kind of long-term approval matters when you are shopping used, because it can reduce the odds of unpleasant surprises after purchase. For you, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Ridgeline?

At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the truck has higher mileage or signs of hard use. Focus your condition check on bodywork, bed features, interior wear, and anything that suggests the truck was used more like a work vehicle than a daily driver.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 905 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,262, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $22,500 sits slightly below last year's $23,694.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests the truck has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who value comfort and practicality over traditional truck toughness. The strongest resale candidates will be the ones with clean history, good condition, and the kind of features that make the Ridgeline stand out in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,401, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,500 average.
• It adds a more comfort-focused platform with better everyday driving dynamics.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model and a slightly more refined everyday driving experience, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
