How much does the 2019 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 3.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,045 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, style, and comfortable ride, and they also describe it as fun to drive with good handling. That lines up well if you want a rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible that feels more special than purely practical. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that it feels dependable in everyday use, with praise centered on its power, style, and enjoyable driving experience. That said, some buyers mention limited rear-seat space, so long-term ownership risk is less about durability alone and more about whether the car fits your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of prior body damage, drivetrain behavior, and overall condition, since those areas matter most when comparing individual listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,045 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,387, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $25,962 sits slightly below last year's $27,032.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Strong examples should still attract attention because the model has broad appeal and a loyal following.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $22,361, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $25,962 average.
• It feels more refined while keeping the Mustang’s performance-first character.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,707, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $25,962 average.
• It blends heritage with modern appeal and a broad range of powertrain choices.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best fit if you want strong owner satisfaction, a wide selection, and a market that has softened enough to create opportunities. If your priority is saving money, the 2018 is the better value play; if you want a similar price with a slightly newer feel, the 2020 is worth a look.
